    MD and PhD Maxima Cum Laude, General Surgeon, Plastic Aesthetic and Reconstructive Surgeon. President of The European Society Laser Aesthetic Surgery (ESLAS), the Spanish Laser Society (SELMQ) and the European Laser Association (ELA).

    He is a Board Member of the Laser Aesthetic Society of Cosmetic Surgeons (US). Dr. Trelles is the author of over 250 peer review articles, various books and numerous chapters for text books in graduate diploma for lasers in medicine. He is also the international editor of the Dermatoglogical Surgery Journal (US).

    Academically, he is a Professor at the University Catolica del Sacro Cuore, in Rome, for postgraduate Diploma in Lasers in Dermatology, visiting Professor at the Department of Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery, School of Medicine, University of Masaryk, Brno, Czech Republic. Director of Master programs on Lasers in Medicine, College of Physicians, Barcelona, Spain.

    In addition, Dr. Trelles is the President of Board of Trustees for the Foundation Antoni de Gimbernat, a non-profit organisation dedicated for research in medicine and is the Director and practices at the Instituto Medico Vilafortuny, Cambrils, Tarragona, Spain, a centre for reference for academics in lasers in the European Community, established for over 25 years.
